____ABOUT THE FIRM
Two generations. One way
of doing business.
A family firm from the start. Gus and Walter Hansch founded Hansch Brothers & Associates in 1965 in Los Angeles. Their sons and nephews grew up around it. Today, brothers W. John Hansch, MBA and David K. Hansch, CFP® continue the legacy their father and uncle built with Hansch Virtual Family Office.
That continuity shows up in how we work. Clients here aren't accounts. They're relationships measured in decades, often across generations of the same family.
____OUR HERITAGE
We helped build the tools this profession runs on.
In the early decades of the firm, the Hansch family developed Financial Profiles, one of the first financial planning software platforms in the industry. For years it was licensed and private-labeled by major national financial firms.
That heritage matters for one practical reason: we have been doing plan-first, software-driven financial planning since before most firms knew what it was. We've now spent more than 25 years working in eMoney, the platform your financial portal runs on today.
When we model a Roth conversion, a business sale, or a retirement income plan, we're working in tools we know at the deepest level.

____WHY WE START WITH VALUES
Start with your questions. The plan follows your answer.
In 2000, Bill Bachrach published Values-Based Financial Planning, the book that defined a client-first planning conversation for a generation of advisors.
We didn't adopt this process from a seminar. We helped put our name on it. Every client relationship at Hansch Virtual Family Office starts the same way: what's important about money to you?
The plan follows from your answer, and the plan is what we manage—three meetings a year, year after year.
Money matters to the extent it funds what's important to you. So we start there, and we stay there. Products come last, after the values, the goals and the plan.
When we recommend something, you'll know exactly which goal it serves.
